Blore Heath - 19th - 20th September 2009
The battle of Blore Heath was one of the first battles of the Wars of the Roses, taking place on September 23, 1459 near Market Drayton (on the Shropshire/Staffordshire boarder). The reenactment takes place at Blore Heath Farm, which is situated just to the rear of what would have been the Lancastrian line.
This is a war of the roses federation battle.  melee_with_cannon1

Directions:

Blore Heath Farm is located two miles east of Market Drayton, along the A53.

Travel to Loggerheads in the A53.

After leaving Loggerheads the road descends gradually down hill (the battlefield is to your left), after a mile the road enters a dip with a crossroads at the bottom, look out for the entrance of the site about 200 yards on the left (look for the sign saying 'Blore Heath Farm').
