As a new member, we understand that you may be unable to come fully 'kitted out' in appropriate clothing to your first events. We recommend that you contact a committee member, before an event, so we can arrange for the use of spare kit. As we have made and purchased this kit specifically for new members, there is a small fee associated with its use. As you can imagine spare kit can be at a premium, so we expect our new members to arrange their own kit as soon as they can.

Anachronism means something that is out of place historically i.e. a digital watch in the medieval period. As a group, we try to avoid anachronism during our display time, to help with this please remember to: -

  1. Remove your watch.
  2. Put in contacts, or just remove your glasses (although rare, medieval glasses can be made if you are desperate).glasses.bmp
  3. Take out modern earrings and remove your jewellery.
  4. Cover any tattoos.
  5. Don't smoke in view of the public.
  6. Don’t use cameras, phones or any other electronic device.
  7. Ask before you use anything you are not sure of.
  8. Remember modern food should be consumed in private.
  9. Use leather thonging or linen braiding to tie back your hair.
